A Safari Unlike Anywhere Else in Kenya
Step into one of Kenya's most distinctive and captivating wilderness destinations. Ashnil Samburu Camp sits within the scenic Buffalo Springs National Reserve, on the banks of the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River, where rare and remarkable wildlife encounters await at every turn.
While the Masai Mara dominates many safari itineraries, Kenya's northern frontier offers something genuinely different. This unique and biodiverse ecosystem is home to the celebrated Samburu Special Five: the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx. These are species rarely found together elsewhere in the country, and the chance to see all five in a single safari makes Samburu a truly special destination.
The dramatic silhouette of Mount Ololokwe rises in the distance, providing a breathtaking backdrop to game drives and sundowners alike, while the Ewaso Nyiro River forms a natural boundary between the camp and the adjoining Samburu National Reserve. With seamless access to Buffalo Springs, Samburu and Shaba National Reserves, guests benefit from an exceptionally diverse and richly rewarding safari circuit.
